Glad those who went enjoyed it, as i mentioned on the original announcement i couldnt make this date and was miffed to have missed it. (but i was doing an expedition so I guess its no too far removed from Gebirgsjäger training!!)
Is it possible to post up a summary of what was covered over the weekend (the training stuff more than social fun!!) so i and others who missed it can be up to speed with where the group is -and can read up if required.

The stuff we learnt  from Mr Lover man i will pass on at the Bath show,

Mr Lover man had the same problem as me with people not turning up.

But after walking through battle tacktics, we came back to base for a coffee brake and chat
Some of Mr Lover mans lads had brought along there mp40/mp44/k98 BB guns so we had some fun/ look at this fast expanding side of the hobby. MP44 was the best MP40 was ok, K98 was not good.

After our bit of fun we went out again with guns this time and prackticed attacking differant positions/ senarios. By this time some of the lads were suffering from BAD HAY FEVER so war was cancelled and we went back to base for some R&R.

Many thanks Andy
I sorry to hear about the lack of attendance as i remember the decision was made to have it on that weekend as opposed to the 6/7th June (which i was able to go to) weekend was down to the number of replies saying they preferred the 13/14th.

Activity wise thanks for the details about what was covered -was drill covered again or did numbers prevent it? Im happy with fire and manouver stuff and also happy to continue lugging the mortar in the mortar team as ive not got a blank firer yet and ive enjoyed being with the mortar so far.-as for the airsoft versions of the weapons they are pretty good -ive got the MP40 version and had the K98 before i joined the group, but took it back to shop as i thought it was pants! Considering the price, the MP44/MP40 is pretty good. Providing they are rubbed down and aged a little they make good stand ins for an otherwise expensive real deal weapon and increasingly rare (and expensive) blank firers. By the way I might be able to get a good deal from an airsoft supplier i have connections with if any active member fancies an MP44/MP40 -especially if a couple are ordered.

Power wise the MP44 won by a mile, MP40 was ok , and as you say the K98 looked ok for displys and are about half the price of a deac.
The MP44 we were using had had a small bit of cosmetic (silver) painting done to it, and apart from when i looked at it first and saw some wire inside i thought it was a deac.
If we talk more on this subject i might move these replys as it is hijacking this thread

It wasn't that more people prefered the 13/14, it was the fact you were the only person who said they could not go to the 13/14. Oh well thats in the past now i still enjoyed myself.
