Pyro Course in the offing.

There is a basic battlefield pyrotechnics course in the offing to be run by TLSFX.

Nothing set yet, all in the planning stage.  Looks to be held in Worcestershire in November date TBC.  Cost will be £150 with a cert issued upon completion.

Anyone interested?

you will have to tell me more
les hearn

if you want to see the cert and the paperwork handed out i can show you

it is more of a basic handling course.
and really only covers you for purchase of tlfx products.
to show you are competant in handling thier products and using the products to display or create a show environment .
its a great course and shows you how they are done

i had the opertunity to help mix and make up some of the "charges"
in tonys lab
hmm that was interesting in itself

Yes Les, you did the advanced course, which is much more fun!

As Les says this is the basic, still a very good grounding and very good fun, even if you don't pursue it further.
les hearn

yes dont get me wrong ...its well worth it
Kris

How old do you have to be to do it ?

Updates:-

Kris, the age limit is 18.  This is due to insurance limits.  Very sorry mate but it's beyond our control, my son cannot do it either.

I have recced the site and it's all good.  The date is set for the Saturday 15th November 2008.  If anyone wants to stop over the night before and requires accommodation there are nissen huts for you to kip in, a small cost to the owner will be required.

Tony Lewis would like names of people who actually want to attend this course please.  This is a "Yes I can go" list not a "Hmmm, maybe" list.

Please don't not hesitate to ask me (or Les, as he's been on one) any questions about the course and I'll do my best or pass them on to Tony.

So far this is only between ourselves and the Evesham MVT, which is nice.  There maybe a few besides but not many.

P.S. the site would be very good for a training weekend as there is a lot of land and the camp is well set up.  I'll post a link to their website later.
