Nene Valley Railway Sept 2009

Thanks to all for the NVR weekend, i am glad i was able to get up there to catch up with all (it was looking iffy at one point) and thanks for the warm welcome i recieved when i finally got there!
Firstly congratulations to Andy for finally getting the rank pips and keeping the group going for another year now the 'season' of events is pretty much over.
NVR Nice little event and i like the location for battles there as its an unusual opportunity to fight around a rail bridge etc. Weather was terrific and i was quite relieved not to have to put on a static display for a change!
Like last year it still seems the railway doesnt really make good use of the re-eanctors or the space they have....and most of the punters seem not bothered about the 1940s theme apart from the steam!....but it doesnt matter as we made the best of it!

.....another season of 'official events' completed!...thanks to all involved and see you at the evesham social/training/malvern weekend!

Cool!  Here's another one.  Lots in there, yard battle towards end, it make a good montague of the weekend.

Note the fact that many guys in the battle are NOT pointing at the enemy when they fire.  Well done!  Very well done indeed!

I did ask Murrey on saturday if there was going to be a troop train he said no ( i think Mark was there when i asked). Shame to hear on sunday they had to throw a keg of beer away. Will ask them to put one on for next year.

Cheers matt, it is certainly one of the better thought out videos of the weekend and good choice of music (where eagles dare for our feature was fun hehe), bit cheeky he put Vera Lynn over Fiona harrisons voice ...Fiona was good but not that good! I remember seeing the guy lurking around us on the platform with his camera on tripod....
