Nene Valley 2007Once again a good event as far as we were concerned, nay a great event!
Railway was crap.. again! Lots of moaning on the wwiiforum about the railway. Reenactors got good reports, also battles and pyro.
How far should we get involoved in the running of this event? How far do we want to take it?
We (the 39-45 LHS) got some profit from it. Thanks to Mark Pitt for the pitching and pricing to the railway and to be fair, myself for getting the ammo at a good price and doing the pyro for cost. Otherwise we would have been out of pocket or there would be NO ammo allocation. Remember ammo and pyro HAS to be payed for somehow.
Anyhow..... I thought it was great! Next year we are hoping to put on a special battle scenario not previously (I think) done before in reenacting. Preliminary discussions with NVR are looking good. If it comes off it will be spectacular and one folk will talk about for a long time.
We have the technology, we just need to put it all in place and tick the right boxes.

Nene Valley 2007Oh yes a Great weekend,think the railway need to do a bit more for the punters seamed to be the overall coment passed then it would be a FANTASTIC!!! event....Well done the TEAM!!! a nice way to wrap up the season.
