Memberships Cards. UpdateDue to a clerical error I do not have a definitive list of which members have had cards.

ok thought id add my bit to this resurrected post from 2008.
Sounds like theres a case for updated/new membership cards for all current members. So might it be useful to move this topic onto a discussion about what information should be on the cards apart from the obivious of the member name? e.g photo of member, contact number of the group leadership etc etc.
Personally i think an approved membership card could useful when checking into events etc especially when other people may try to get into events under our group/personal name. Also it may go a little way to prove we are paid up, insured members of the group.
i am happy to put together a colour print (with photographs already included if they are emailed to me) of a suitable credit card or soldbuch insert sized design (might be a good idea if the design was '1940s style' and size so it could go slip into the german/allied paybook/soldbuch). I could probably get the cards properly laminated too.

Jacko, we have a membership card template already in place.
Getting people to send photos in is a complete no starter. Some do and are very proactive, some do not and are real gits to pin down. it's a complete asshole to get sorted! I have taken to sending out cards without a photo and with a self laminating wallet, that way the onus is on the individual member to supply his or her own photo.
Cards will be issued at Walthan Abby or they can be be posted to you if you are not attending or you want they before then.

Thanks Matt, no problem. I realised there was a template in place, but I was offering to help out technically if it was any use-especially if the any changes to the design were required or suggested by the group. For example i can, if required, produce 'watermarked' card that once printed on, would make the cards hard to replicate away from the group. The photos were just a suggestion.

Membership Cards, who wants theirs posted to them and who wants to collect at an event (Tutbury, Timsbury etc)?
By default those not replying will get theirs when they attend an event.
THE ONUS IS ON YOU TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN PHOTO. We will supply the card and a self laminating wallet.
