GCR 07Oh dear rain at GCR, still had a good show. The skirmish on sunday was very good, even though we had less people. Bruce the station master said if we are not back there next year he will send the gestapo  . Some one said that our skirmish was better than the main battle, i can't comment as i didn't see it. Good turn out again, but we still could use more people to improve the look and feel of a german held station. Bruce said that MOP liked the way i told people what was happening in the skirmish, if that is true all thanks go to Mark Pitt for starting that off. PS i am NOT after Marks job on the PA he does it to good

well that was my first event as "master" technition.....hehehehehe
all went well on the sunday after ironing out the problems of the saturday
rain was a problem for us on the saturday but hey tis only water
i think we need to make this a major event for us as it seems to be droping off a bit regarding reenactors
and this event is supporting reenactors even tho other railways are turning on us
more bodys are needed here bruce does a great job of looking after us .
we are fully suported by him so i think we need to do more for him
i really enjoy this one as we really do have the run of the station
where else can we get so close to the train as it comes in .
i enjoyed .so hope others did

I know we were down on gerbirs this year due to some lads doing yank for the skirmish. It is true that we have a very good rapore with Bruce, i think we are the only people to be able to go on the tracks when a train is about WITHOUT having to wear a hi-vis vest. I know we can improve on the display of AA MGs on the grass, but it needs you lot to make that station work...If we have pleanty of people there we can aford to loss people on the train and still look good on the station. This also goes for most of the events..sorry to bang on about it again we are part of the display, one of the most important parts as well.
