Blank guns. This is a German site that has been talk about on the ww2 reenactors form room.
It looks like a good site : http://www.kaehny.de/schreckschuss/schreckschusswaffen.htm
On asking the site owner on if he can ship to the UK I got this reply
| Quote: | hello

Seriously agree with Les there. Cannot advise you strongly enough not to buy items like this from those sorts of sources.

You have mentioned before about the importation of blank firing guns into the UK and there was quite a discussion about it here:
http://3945society.myfreeforum.org/about334.html
I think that pretty much what was said/advised in the previous topics/threads applies to this too. The bottom line is the VCR bill prohibits the importation of replica imitation firearms (RiFs) into the country -a serious fine or prison sentence awaits those attempting to ignore this rule -and/or the gun will be siezed and destroyed by customs with no compensation. There are very few exemptions to this. Additionally you are under 18 and also cannot buy a RiF even in this country (new or secondhand) as the seller and you would also be making a serious breach of the VCR act -with similar conseqences (and no your dad cannot buy it for you).
Check the links given in the previously mentioned threads/topics that give detailed information about the VCR law. But basically its wise you keep away as you have been advised and unfortunately wait until you are over 18 too.
Sorry if this is not the information you want the read, but i am sure you can appreciate the law and replica imitation firearms is now quite tight/serious and it would be awful if you landed yourself in trouble because you decided to break it -which might also reflect badly on the group.

found a man called Kev from kompanie 1.
He is selling a P38 8mm blank gun for £110.
Is this a good price?
This is what he say: | Quote: | Hi Kris
Here are some photos of the Bruni P.38 to show your dad .
Its the type that was sold in the UK some 15 -20 years ago so completely UK legal and none of this dodgy European stuff .
On the Axis side this is probably the most widely used and reliable Blank pistol .

A lot of show do not like us going on to the battle field with just handguns ask Les.
You are under 18 and you may not be aloud to go on the battle field, Matt or Andy will know this.
I would weight till you are 18 with a firearms licence and buy a K98
As a jager you would not have a side arm anyway.

If its for your dad to put in his holster, i can't see him needing to use it so a cheap non firing replica would do.
