Pop.... pooh I forgot even with you reminding me every 3 or was it 4 minutes
There were very few folk looking at our displays. A sign or an announcement even now and then would have been good.
Another great Nene valley, feedback has been good so far. _________________ ,[_I_],

Poptastic! Another enjoyable weekend and end to the ‘official’ season with the group. Good as always to catch up with members and be introduced to those I hadn’t met before. The battle scenarios where well thought out and great fun. I really thought that it was much better when we all formed up and marched to/from the battle scenario.
It seemed that it was a missed opportunity by the railway not to make better use of the re-enactors. Instead of tucking us away out of sight, without any signage, behind the car park, they could have arranged to have us at another station along the line, or on other side of the platform (the unused bit) to ‘occupy’ as if it was somewhere in occupied Europe. Then with the railway still being central to the event, the punters could of ‘travelled’ from wartime England ‘across’ to occupied Europe, with the German groups set up in occupation with communications, machine guns and sentries etc. This could have been made even more interesting if the unused station buildings on the opposite platform where open to us to use. Even one of the battle scenarios could have been setup to fight along the same platform too.
Socially it was great as always and although there was a few issues with the railways organization and communication over the Saturday evening, it was good to get on the train for an unusual trip and have some fun ‘pushing shapes’ (big fish, little fish, cardboard box) to the 1940’s music –which made up a little for the lack of der disco!
My eye was checked by the Doc and its ok, but is there a German extreme poke-age clasp or badge? -as I think some of us might qualify for it after the close quarters poke-age -especially Barry for recieving double morning poke-age.
Finally, looking forward to seeing the photos that where taken by some of the members!!! _________________ Hurra die Gams!.....und der disco!!

Some signage directing MoPs to our displays would be good.
Andy has an idea though, the front of the station was given over to the SBG and a bunch of cars!
