Hi all,
Firstly, nice to see some of you at Beltring, Detling and Victory Shows, and thanks for letting me cross the rope and making me welcome on your stand at Belters!
Secondly, as a few of you know I've been looking at getting into re-enacting for a while now, and there were only a couple of groups I was seriously looking at, basically yourselves in the 85th and GD Recon.
After lots of "umming and ahhing", I've decided to join up with GD Recon. This isn't a reflection on your group, it's just that I slightly like the "stalhhelm look" more than the "bergmutze look"...!! (Sad, I know..! ) Other than that there was nothing to choose between the two of you.
Why am I explaning this to you? Well, I didn't want you to hear second hand, or see me wandering around in GD clobber at some show without explaning why myself and also wanted to thank you for your help and friendliness so far.
I'll keep in touch (and I will still be collecting Gebirgs stuff, so will no doubt have questions from time to time..!!).
Cheers,
Ade

no problems fella
we all understand that you can only enjoy reenacting if ya feel comfortable in the kit ya wanna wear
they are all good peeps in gd and we all work together at shows
so just by being in another group doesnt meant we wont be working with you
good luck and hope ya enjoy the reenacting scene |
