hello
I looking to obtain a pair of the grey puttees (the wraps NOT gaiters). Although, I already have a pair of the grey/greeny (fieldgrey) type im not that happy with these and I am looking for the more 'bluey' grey type-for reference these should be the same type/colour as Jon wears (look at the pics). These should be reproductions or good modifications or low priced originals (ha!). I understand the cut down in length ww1 puttees are a good stand in for these.
I would appreciate your help...BJ is this the sort of thing you can source for a sensible price?
Thanks

Thanks chaps so far....very kind of you to offer to look in Bavaria Kris, I know i wont get any time when i am in Austria next week to find such things as im working, but i do appreciate your offer and good luck -as i think they will be hard to find and if you do find them they will probably be expensive for the type im looking for...but enjoy your trip and looking out for them.
Jedburgh & BJ thanks for the link -their puttees look pretty good and fairly priced, but the shipping is high at almost double the cost of the puttees which is a little off putting _________________ Hurra die Gams!.....und der disco!!

As an update to this request, just as i was about to order from replicators, i stumbled over a pair of repro ww1 german puttees on ebay for £4.50 posted -all i had to do was replace the white tapes for field grey -which i managed to obtain (along with some stand in buckles) from a local haberdashery shop in perfect colour (if anyone ever needs some let me know) -I wore these at Eden Camp (they can be seen in some of the photos) for the first time and they were perfect match to the ones worn by other members of the group. Once i get the repro buckles from Ropes, these will look great.
Many thanks to all who offered help -thats the bonus of being a member of this group!
