Have a look at the list below see what you all think its not meant to be a definitive list but just to start the ball rolling. If we all get together on this perhaps we can put a list on the wed page

Note: - Before obtaining any uniform or equipment please contact the group as mistakes can be expensive and there may be equipment for sale with in the group.
Must have
Uniform
M36 Filed service tunic with belt hooks (with arm eagle correct mountain trooper’s shoulder boards, collar patches and edelweiss arm badge)
Field service trousers. Trouser belt or braces
Mouse gray shirt or field gray shirt
Gerbirgsjager cap
Putties or gaiters
Mountain boots or ankle boots
Equipment
Helmet (German WW2)
Combat belt
Army belt buckle
K98 ammunition pouches
Combat “Y” straps
Army bread bag
Water bottle
K98 bayonet and frog
Mess tin
Gas mask tin with straps
Army zeltbahn
Nice to have
In no specific order:-
Knife fork and spoon set
Bandage
Wehrmacht soldbuch (army pay book)
Dog tags
Torch
Razor and sheaving set
Mountain troopers wind jacket
Mountain trooper’s anorak
Ice axe
Crampons
Piton hammer
Pitons
Period climbing rope
K98 (live fire or deactivated)

Seems to be all there as I can see but I'm maybe not the best person
Once we are all happy with the list I'll certainly post it on the website.
Just thought, add metal Edellweiss on Bergmutze to list. _________________ Is that rifle clean? |

Niether actually James.
The gebirgs were issued with Stahlhelms but tended not to use them, sticking to the Bergmutze instead. It was one of those unit distinction thing. 'We're Gebirs and we don't need stahlhelms.' Unfortunately there were a lot of head wounds
Concequently most members of the group only wear one in battles if required by the dreaded H&S. If you do get one, a nice round edge as opposed to a later raw edge is preferable but either is fine. Otherwise it's Bergmutze at all times. Unless you enter a building, you must remove headress immediately. |

A qustion about the trousers, is it ok to used M36 feldgrau Trousers?.
Or M36 Mountain Trousers from lost battalion.
